As we move into 2022, we thought we would share our predictions and expectations for the tile industry throughout this year. The modern market is fast changing with new trends popping up all over the place. There are many different tile colours, styles, finishes and sizes – but what do we think is going to happen in the next 12 months?
Going Green
We don’t necessarily mean we’re expecting tiles to become an eco-friendly resource with no carbon footprint – although this would be nice. We’re expecting to see more people select green tiles for their home setting, in particular, our Whinfel – Moss Green range, and our Wareham – Viridian Green. Both of these tiles have made our top picks for this blog and we wouldn’t be surprised if they end up in a large number of homes this year.
Warmer Tones
You guessed it – we’re planning on seeing a larger uptake of our tiles resembling a warmer tone. We’re not quite back to the full beige mode yet though! Some of the warmer tiles such as the gold veining in Santa Ana, Taurus Cream or Diablo Beige are high up on our prediction list. Each of these tiles has its own unique features offering a slightly different aesthetic.
Brass Is Back
2022 is going to see much more brass related work carried out. In particular, we think brass showers, taps, towel rails, etc. will be used more than they have been in previous years. We team up closely with the Genesis Metal Trim when working with brass or copper. The Genesis team provide all kinds of fittings and trims when it comes to metal alternatives, with their shower and tap options coming in both a “bright” or a “brushed” effect to really finish off your home project in the most amazing way.
